Transforming Energy Solutions from the Ground Up

BwB’s recent collaboration with SWARM Engineering in Kwale Island, Tanzania, focusing on last-mile energy initiatives, demonstrates the power of community-driven innovation in achieving transformative change.

Key insights: 

• 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: We conducted focus group discussions that put local community voices at the heart of our solution design. 

• 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹: Last-mile energy models must balance technical feasibility with financial viability and environmental responsibility.
