Global challenges need collective action.
đ¨đ At the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in early this year, BwB hosted a roundtable investor dinner to discuss the triple crisis of debt, climate change and nature loss in emerging markets, and developing solutions that leverage the strengths of cross-sector collaboration.
Attendees exchanged ideas on topics such as innovative financing mechanisms, fostering public-private partnerships, and creating an enabling environment for investors.
How can business communities, local governments, and policymakers better prepare for and respond to this triple crisis?
What types of financial instruments can attract more investors over the long term?
Are there effective and scalable strategies for combining both public and private capital in risk markets?
How can financing be used to drive the expansion of green employment opportunities?
âOur Davos roundtable was an important opportunity to initiate deeper discussion with investors on accelerating deployment of capital, particularly in the Global South. This dialogue has continued in the months since and we look forward to moving ahead with the tangible actions we identified,â commented BwBâs CEO, Rupesh Madlani.
The roundtable in Davos kicked off a series of BwB-hosted investor sessions in Washington DC, Nairobi, and London that have enabled the discussions to continue during the first half of the year.
BwB will host its next investor dinner in September. To find out more, reach out to your BwB contact.
