Driving Circular Economy Innovations: BwB Launches DEFINITE-CCRI Initiative

BwB supports circular businesses on their path to bankability

As part of the DEFINITE-CCRI initiative, BwB and its partners have kicked off their support for four innovative projects in the space with onsite visits and a comprehensive and due diligence exercise. These actions mark the start of a process that will culminate in a pitching event through which the projects will aim to raise hashtag#finance for their continued development.

The four supported projects during this phase are:

- The Circular Library Network (previously Munasafn RVK Tool Library) (based in Reykjavik, Iceland) will popularize the concept of a ‘library of things’ by adopting an agile sharing and distribution model and making its services user-friendly.

Tissel Roubaix (based in Roubaix, France) will gather a group of circular economy businesses together with the aim of catalysing collaborative initiatives and generating business synergies, including through training on circular economy issues.

Tehdassaari (based in Nokia, Finland) will give new life to abandoned buildings in the former headquarters of telecommunications company Nokia. The project includes offering shared working spaces, locations for events, and restaurants, as well as providing space for resident artists.

- Rewrap (based in Ghent, Belgium) is promoting a new approach to wrapping and transporting industrial pallets, with the aim of moving the sector away from single-use plastics.

DEFINITE-CCRI reflects BwB’s determination to help drive the transition to a circular economy, committed to making circularity work and advancing alternative business model approaches in a variety of sectors.
