Orli Arav

Orli is Founder and Managing Director of EMFin Advisory, a boutique advisory firm that specialises in private sector investments in infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on climate-related projects across Africa. With more than two decades of experience in development finance and impact investing, she has collaborated with leading multilateral and national organisations such as the World Bank Group, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Norfund, and KfW.

Orli currently serves on the boards of Factor(e), the Global Gender Smart Fund (GGSF), Sarona Asset Management, and Axian Energy. She is also a member of the investment committee for AgDevCo, a specialist investor in African agribusiness.

Earlier in her career, Orli held senior roles at Cygnum Capital, Soros Economic Development Fund, and Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund. She was also Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Impala Energy Holdings. She has led and closed numerous infrastructure transactions, delivering capital to initiatives across Africa. Her work has contributed to the mobilisation of over US$1 billion in principal investments across 21 countries and seven sectors.

Orli holds a master’s degree in economics, magna cum laude, from the Eitan Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University.
