Angola

Elves has spent more than two decades in the field of accounting and finance.  He has held senior management and executive roles in various business sectors including non-profit organizations, energy, commerce, telecommunications, real estate, logistics, and transport.

 

Whilst working at the SLP Sustainable livelihoods poverty Programme, Elves was involved with awareness raising programmes with Angolan government institutions on the need for stronger legislation, regulation, and policy within microfinance.  He has also worked on behalf of Startel Telecoms SA, Angola Cables, (a Tata communication project that connects Africa/Americas and Europe, through submarine fibre optic cables), and Imogestin SA, where he was responsible for the promotion of policy development within the African Portugese speaking countries.  Within the energy sector, Elves led efforts to raise finance for environmental projects to treat hazardous waste derived from upstream companies in the sector.

 

Elves holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.
